WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP — A Miami Valley fire department upgraded multiple fire apparatus in 2026.
Washington Township Fire Department replaced two ambulances and two fire engines over the last year at Stations 43, 44 and 45.

A fire engine’s lifespan is usually between 15-20 years, while the lifespan for an ambulance is 12-15 years.
“Having up-to-date equipment ensures we can keep providing the best possible care during emergency situations in Washington Township,” said Fire Chief Nick Bergman.

This is the second department in the area that got a new piece of equipment.
Riverside Fire added a new fire engine to its fleet in the last month.
