Walgreens pharmacy tech indicted on felony charges has license suspended

DAYTON — A Fairborn woman faces a dozen felony charges stemming from medication thefts she’s accused of committing between the fall and winter at the Wayne Avenue Walgreens.

Skylynn Greene, 23, faces ten counts of theft of drugs and two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, according to an indictment filed today.

Greene worked as a certified pharmacy technician at the Walgreens at 1542 Wayne Ave. and was seen on video surveillance stealing drugs from the pharmacy, according to state board of pharmacy records. Greene’s pharmacy board license has been suspended.

An agent with the board interviewed Greene on Jan. 10 and she told the agent she began stealing from the pharmacy in the fall of 2019. She told the agent she was “addicted to the medication” she’d been accused of stealing, documents show.

Pharmacy board records show Greene was accused of stealing amphetamines from the Walgreens.

Greene has been ordered to appear in court for her arraignment on Aug. 25.
