Volunteers, club members help install new Sidney inclusive playground

Volunteers and members of Sidney Kiwanis and Rotary clubs spent Thursday installing a new “inclusive playground” in Tawawa Park in Sidney.

An inclusive playground addresses the needs of all people including those who have autism, intellectual disabilities, hearing impairments, cerebral palsy, and other disabilities.

This special play ground was purchased with over a quarter million dollars that local Kiwanians and Rotations recently raised in cash and in-kind donations to make this project completely publicly funded.

The play area should be open within a few weeks.
