MIAMI VALLEY — A Virtual Job Fair taking place Feb. 2 will feature more than 200 job openings in Preble and Darke Counties.
Over 20 companies from the two counties are offering positions in both STEM and non-STEM career fields, according to a release.
Silfex, Parker Hannifin, Lewisburg Container, and Midmark are among the companies scheduled to appear at the job fair. Employers will have virtual booths featuring their open positions at varying experience levels.
“The goal is to help Ohioans, especially those impacted by COVID-19, find employment while assisting regional employers in building a qualified, motivated workforce,” Southern Ohio Council for Higher Education stated in the release.
“Through the job fair, we hope to attract the attention of active job-seekers who seek employment or advancement and/or who are ready to make a career change.”
The free job fair sponsored by JobsOhio, Dayton Development Coalition, Southwestern Council for Higher Education, Darke and Preble Counties economic development and Ohio Means Jobs is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Job seekers are encouraged to register for the event early to upload their resume and qualifications, explore companies and open positions, and sign up to receive alerts and reminders leading up to and throughout the event.
