Vehicle breaks power pole in northern Warren County; Duke restores service

UPDATE @ 12:48 a.m. (Feb. 22): Electric service in northern Warren County has been restored after a vehicle hit and broke a power pole on Crossley Road on Friday evening.

There were reports that up to 700 Duke Energy customers were without power. Duke had to dispatch a crew to replace the pole.

UPDATE @ 11:09 p.m. (Feb. 21):

A single-vehicle accident on Crossley Road in northern Warren County broke a power pole but did not result in the driver having to be taken to a hospital, a Clearcreek Twp. firefighter said.

The pole was left leaning over the road and Duke Energy was dispatching a crew to replace it, the firefighter said.

There were no other details available about the accident or how long Crossley Road would be fully or partially closed.

INITIAL REPORT

A vehicle accident with injuries in the Five Points area of northern Warren County, reported in the 8600 block of Crossley Road., has prompted Clearcreek Twp. police to shut down the roadway until further notice.

The accident was dispatched about 9:17 p.m. and there is a report that someone is trapped in the wreckage.
