VANDALIA — The City of Vandalia is asking homeowners and local businesses to voluntarily register their personal security cameras with the Vandalia Police Department.
Several residents have already registered their information with the VPD. The registration allows officers and investigators to contact the resident or business owner if there is an incident in their neighborhood and request images or footage that may have been captured and potentially help identify a person or vehicle involved in a criminal incident.
Those interested can register their name, address, telephone number, camera locations and archive length online.
