The church usually hosts community meals on the second Sunday of every month.

Volunteers handed out meals containing ham, cheesy potatoes, green beans, a roll, a Christmas cookie and drink, the church said.

“You would be surprised how many families just have a sad or rough day on Christmas and are sometimes just not able to get a warm and nice dinner,” Pastor Benjamin Prill said, “so it’s really special for us to be able to provide some ham mac and cheese and other goods.”

The church served 200 meals at Saturday’s drive-thru.
