Valley Forge Elementary principal previously reprimanded

UPDATE @ 5:40 p.m. (Dec. 18)

A review of Larry Sussman’s personnel file does indicate he’s been on the paid administrative leave since Dec. 8. A letter from the district superintendent only says Sussman’s being investigated for “possible misconduct; specifically that you allegedly engaged in inappropriate and unprofessional behavior online.”

Sussman also received a written reprimand in September 2010 for inappropriate use of a personal cell phone that resulted in negative feelings from administrative staff, according to the documents.

Sussman’s professional evaluations include both commendations and areas for growth, including the need to follow proper procedure for reimbursements.

UPDATE @ 4:23 p.m. (Dec. 17)

A letter was sent to parents today, Dec. 17 from Huber Heights Superintendent Susan Gunnell regarding elementary principal Larry Sussman being on administrative leave.

“… Sussman will be out for a period of time and unable to perform the necessary duties of building principal,” the letter reads.

Effective Jan. 4, 2016, Jeremy Monroe will be acting building principal. Monroe previously worked as an instructional coach at the elementary school, and is coming from a post most recently at the high school.

This news outlet will be reviewing Sussman’s personnel file Friday.

But local police say there is no open investigation into him.
