U.S. Postal Service hosts job fair in Dayton today

DAYTON — The North Dayton Post Office is hosting a job fair to fill seasonal positions today.

The job fair will start at 11:00 a.m. and go until 1:00 p.m. at the post office at 1411 Farr Drive.

Positions include postal support employees, city carrier assistants, rural carrier associates, and mail handler assistants.

Starting salary is between $16.87 and $19.06 per hour, paid bi-weekly, according to a release.

Applicants must be at least 18-years-old and be able to pass a background check and medical assessment, the release said.

USPS human resources specialists will be in attendance during the job fair to answer questions and share details about the positions.

The release added that applications are accepted online only at www.usps.com/careers.
