Lt. Cailin Foster was a first-year Masters of Business Administration student who was stationed at the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, university officials said in a campus alert Wednesday afternoon.

The university did not release details on Foster’s death. News Center 7 has reached out to AFRL representatives for additional details and we’re awaiting a response.

Foster, from Monument, Colorado, was a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and rose to the rank of Second Lieutenant in the Air Force.

The university will include Foster among those remembered during UD’s annual Veterans Day Mass, which will happen Thursday at the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception.

Foster is the third UD student to pass away in the last week. On Saturday, UD announced the passing of Franco Patino, 21, of Naperville, Illinois who died in the Astroworld concert tragedy in Houston Nov. 5. Also on Saturday, the death of Parker Spindle, of Grand Rapids, Michigan was also announced to campus members.
