Fairborn man killed in head-on SR 4 crash in Riverside identified

RIVERSIDE — One person is dead and two others are in critical condition after a head-on crash on state Route 4 in Riverside, according to police.

The crash was reported around 2:40 p.m. on state Route 4 at Harshman Road in Riverside.

An initial investigation found a vehicle traveling south on state Route 4 crossed the grassy median and crashed head-on into a vehicle traveling north, police told News Center 7.

The driver of the vehicle traveling south was ejected and died on scene, police said. He was identified as Timothy Hall, 40, of Fairborn.

The driver and a passenger in the second vehicle were taken to an area hospital for treatment, both in critical condition.

The crash and investigation shut down state Route 4 in both directions through parts of the evening commute but reopened later.
