MORAINE — Tesla is planning to open a new service center in Moraine, the company’s first location in the Dayton area, according to the city of Moraine.
Work is underway to remodel the former Staples store located at 1927 W. Dorothy Lane near the Walmart.

The new location will have bays, where technicians can work on vehicles. It also will have charging stations in the parking lot, city officials said.
It was not immediately clear when the new service center would open. News Center 7 has reached out to Tesla for more information on the location, including how many jobs it may bring to the region.
Tesla currently has service centers in Ohio in Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland and Toledo.
