The FBI said that it is investigating a series of suspicious mailings sent to several addresses across the country.
This includes the Ohio Secretary of State’s Office, as previously reported.
Rep. Beatty thanked the United States Postal Inspection Service and the FBI’s Columbus Field Office for their help.
“Any attempt to threaten, intimidate, or endanger me, my staff, or my colleagues is unacceptable and will not be taken lightly,” she said. “These kinds of political stunts and acts of intimidation have no place in our democracy.”
Beatty said she will continue to work with police on resolving this incident and ways to protect her staff and voters.
