Springfield police looking for 2 male suspects in Family Dollar robbery

SPRINGFIELD — UPDATE @ 7:45 p.m.: The two males who robbed the Family Dollar on East Main Street wore hoodies and surgical masks, Springfield Police Lt. Matthew Buynak said.

Both suspects claimed to have guns, but surveillance video did not pick up either suspect with a weapon, Buynak said. The suspects, who entered the business about 5:45 p.m., left in an unknown direction.

INITIAL REPORT

An armed robbery has been reported at the Family Dollar in the 2100 block of East Main Street in Springfield.

Officers are headed to the scene to investigate the reported robbery.
