Special Olympics raises $51,000 with ‘Battle of the Businesses’

DAYTON — Special Olympics of Greater Dayton wrapped up its 2023 Battle of the Businesses Competition.

Saturday, the final day of the competition, included a Field Day at Wright State University Rinzler Sports Complex.

The week-long competition brings together companies and organizations in the area in a series of athletic events, according to a spokesperson for the Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities.

Funds raised provide people with developmental disabilities the opportunity to compete in athletic contests year-round.

This year 28 companies took part and $51,000 was raised.

Reynolds and Reynolds’ “magenta team” was declared the grand champion.
