Wind Chill Advisory issued for parts of the Miami Valley; Light snow this afternoon

A wind chill advisory has been issued for the far northeastern counties until 9am. Wind chills down to -10 to -15 possible.

Counties under the advisory: Auglaize, Champaign, Logan, Mercer, Shelby

THIS MORNING: Mostly clear and very cold to begin the day, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Austin Chaney said. Morning low temps will again fall to single digits. A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for the northeastern Miami Valley for wind chills -10 TO -15. Clouds return later this morning.

THURSDAY: Another very cold morning in the single digits with wind chills back below zero for most. Clouds increase, but staying dry until Thursday afternoon/evening when a few flurries or snow showers pass through.

The chance for flurries or snow showers will persist into tonight, but accumulations should be limited to a trace to a few tenths of an inch. Highs will reach the lower 30s.

FRIDAY: A chance of lingering flurries early Friday. Accumulations Thursday through Friday only amount to a trace to a few tenths. Cloudy skies with a few breaks in the clouds arriving late in the day. Temperatures nearly steady, beginning the day in the upper teens and only warming to the lower 20s. Very cold again Friday night with lows in the low to mid-single digits.

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny and cold with highs in the lower 20s.

SUNDAY: Partly cloudy skies for Sunday. Highs closer to normal in the lower to middle 30s.

MONDAY: Mostly sunny and chilly. Highs in the middle to upper 30s.

TUESDAY: Partly sunny and noticeably warmer for Tuesday. Highs in the upper 40s.

WEDNESDAY: Cloudy with rain showers likely. It will be a mild day again with highs in the upper 40s.
