Significant storm damage reported in Yellow Springs, Clifton area

GREENE COUNTY — Significant storm damage has been reported throughout the Clifton and Yellow Springs areas of Greene County today.

On State Route 343 in Miami Twp., there was significant damage to a barn and metal and wood had been thrown around the property.  A trailer on the property also was overturned.

The damage was reported in the 2000 block around 9 a.m. as severe weather pushed through the area.

On South River Road in Miami Twp., a tree fell onto a home in the 2800 block around 9 a.m.

On East Hyde Road just outside the village of Yellow Springs, a portion of a barn roof was torn off and wrapped around a tree around 8:30 a.m.

There were also several reports of tree damage along East Hyde Road as well.

On Corry Street in Yellow Springs, there was a report of a tree falling onto a house in the 1400 block.  Initial emergency dispatch reports indicated there was damage to the building.

The Corry Street damage was reported around 10:15 a.m.
