Deputies from Darke and Mercer counties have spent the last two days searching state routes, county and township roads from northern Darke to southern Mercer, Darke County Chief Deputy Mark Whittaker said in a prepared statement.

EARLIER REPORT (Aug. 10)
A 33-year-old woman last seen in Darke County is missing, and several law enforcement agencies are cooperating in an attempt to find her.
Shawna Lynn Rue Ressler has been missing since Aug. 3. Her family said she was from Versailles, but had recently moved to Union City.
Initially, it was believed she was last in Mercer County, where she had visited her husband from 6:40 to 7 p.m. in the jail.
However, “Shawna left the sheriff’s office in her black Chevy Trailblazer and there was no indication of any foul play as she left the sheriff’s office,” Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey said in a prepared statement.
Later the same day, she reportedly dropped off her children at their grandmother’s house in Greenville.
If her last known whereabouts was not in Mercer County, it would not have jurisdiction.
