OSP: Impaired driving suspected in serious crash that shuts down ramp from I-75 S to I-675 N

UPDATE @ 6:15 p.m.:

Drugged driving is suspected in a serious-injury crash this evening that shut down the ramp from Interstate 75 South to Interstate 675 North in Washington Twp.

The driver of a Chevrolet Monte Carlo made a U-turn in front of a Chrysler 200, which T-boned the car, according to a trooper with the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The Monte Carlo went into a ditch off the roadway, and the driver became trapped. He suffered injuries believed to be serious, but his condition was not known, the trooper said.

The driver of the Chrysler was not hurt.

Troopers said they found a needle containing suspected heroin in the front passenger seat of the Monte Carlo.

One person is seriously injured following a crash this evening that shut down the ramp from Interstate 75 South to Interstate 675 North.

The ramp will remain closed until further notice, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers on scene.

The two-vehicle crash was reported around 4:15 p.m.

One car went off the highway into high grass, with the driver trapped before he could be rescued. The victim’s condition was not known, troopers said.
