Santa set to visit Oakwood aboard firetruck tonight

OAKWOOD — The Oakwood Public Safety Department’s help has been requested for an important mission this holiday season.

Santa reached out to the department and asked if they could help him plan his route through the neighborhood before Christmas.

Starting at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 19, Santa will hop aboard Fire Engine #27 and be escorted by Oakwood Police through the City of Oakwood, according to a press release for the city.

Residents are encouraged to come out and greet Santa as he goes by.
