DAYTON — A University of Dayton men’s basketball forward has announced that he will return next season.

Dayton forward Jauin Simon posted a graphic on social media.
“Run it back,” it said. It included him wearing UD’s Chapel Blue uniform.

Simon is the first member of last year’s team to confirm that he will not enter the transfer portal.
He will be a redshirt junior forward for the Dayton Flyers in 2026-27.
Simon started 16 of 36 games last season.
He averaged over 5 points per game and grabbed over 3 boards per game.
Simon also made 70-of-87 free throws and finished making 81 percent of his foul shots.
Dayton went 25-12 this past season and 12-6 in the Atlantic 10. Their season ended in the third round of the 2026 NIT.
