RTA honors military with free rides on Veterans Day

The Greater Dayton RTA is offering free rides to all active U.S. military members and veterans on Veterans Day to honor those who have served our country, according to a release.

This free service includes fixed-route buses anywhere throughout the Dayton transit systems and rides on the RTA Connect.

Anyone who is military active duty, discharged, retired, reserve, or holds a VA identification card can show it to the driver upon boarding the bus to receive a free ride on Sunday, Nov. 11, read the release.

RTA offers free rides for veterans on this holiday to ensure all who want to participate in area Veterans Day events have access to transportation to those events.
