A Dayton police crash report shows Belyeu was driving an RTA bus in March of 2020 around 7 a.m. when he hit and killed 56-year-old Lynn Willis.

The accident happened at Wilkinson and Third streets.

The report shows Belyeu “failed to yield the right of way” to Willis.

RTA fired Belyeu according to company policy nine days after the crash, said Bob Ruzinsky, Deputy CEO of the RTA.

“RTA was deeply saddened by the accident on March 10 where a life was lost,” Ruzinsky said in a statement. “We continue to work with investigators and other parties.”
