3 hurt, including 1 with serious injuries, after head-on crash in Greene County Thursday night

SUGARCREEK TWP. — Three people were injured, including one seriously, after a head-on crash in Sugarcreek Twp. Thursday night, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on Wagner Road near Swigart Road around 9:30 p.m. Thursday. A preliminary investigation found a pickup truck traveling south on Wagner Road crossed the centerline and crashed head-on into a car, state troopers said in a media release issued Friday morning.

The driver of the truck, identified as Jon Ogg, 69, of Beavercreek suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken to Miami Valley Hospital South for treatment.

Two 16-year-olds were inside the car and were also injured. They were taken to Miami Valley Hospital South with injuries described as non-life threatening, state troopers said.

Ogg was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Alcohol is also suspected as being a contributing factor in the crash, state troopers said.

Wagner Road was closed for about three hours for the crash investigation but reopened after midnight.
