2 injured, 1 flown by medical helicopter after rollover crash in Darke County

DARKE COUNTY — UPDATE @ 11:50 a.m.: 

Two people were hospitalized, including one driver who was ejected, after a crash on Ohio 49 in Darke County Wednesday, according to deputies.

The crash was reported at the intersection of Ohio 49 and Grubbs-Rex Road, south of Arcanum, around 10 a.m.

A white pickup truck traveling south of Ohio 49 went left of center and crashed nearly head-on into a Spectrum work van, according to investigators.

The crash caused the white pickup truck to roll and ejected the driver from the truck.

The driver of the pickup, identified as Denville Boeske, 35, of Greenville, was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by a CareFlight medical helicopter. Deputies said Boeske suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Spectrum work van, identified as Adam Martin, 26, of Greenville, was transported by ground ambulance to an area hospital also for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Ohio 49 reopened around 11:45 a.m.

The crash was reported at the intersection of Ohio 49 and Grubbs-Rex Road, south of Arcanum, around 10 a.m., according to emergency scanner traffic.

Initial reports indicate at least one person was ejected from a vehicle in the crash.

The conditions and severity of injuries sustained by those involved in the crash were not immediately known.
