UPDATE: 3 arrests made, last suspect ID’d in robbery outside Home Depot

UPDATE @ 2:00 p.m. (Sept. 7):

According to Miamisburg Detective Sgt. Jeff Muncy, a third suspect responsible for the armed robbery outside the Home Depot in Miamisburg turned himself in Friday night.

Miamisburg police are still actively searching for the fourth suspect.

UPDATE @ 9:53 p.m. (Sept. 6): Two arrests have been made and police have identified two other suspects in Thursday night's armed robbery outside the Home Depot in Miamisburg.

Miamisburg police on Friday morning issued to the media photos of the suspects from surveillance video in the store on state Route 741 (345 N. Springboro Pike), Miamisburg police Sgt. Jeff Muncy said.

Police received numerous phone calls identifying the suspects, he said.

Police tracked down one and another turned himself in to police. Conversations with one or both of them verified the identity of the other two suspects and police are working to locate them, the sergeant said.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Dayton Police Department worked with Miamisburg police in rounding up the two suspects and identifying the others, Muncy said.

A police search came up empty for two suspects in the armed robbery of a woman at the Miamisburg Home Depot.

The search began after a pursuit of a minivan that ended when the suspects stopped in the 9800 block of West Third Street. Two suspects abandoned the vehicle.

From there, the search moved south around houses and through fields, covering a wide area between Diamond Mill and Lutheran Church roads near Drexel and New Lebanon. After more than three hours of looking, officers called off the search.

Police towed the van away around 3:30 a.m.

Police from Dayton, New Lebanon, Huber Heights and troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol were involved in the search.
