Oregon District Shooting: Remembering Saeed Saleh

DAYTON — One of the nine people killed in the Oregon District shooting, had moved to Dayton for a better life.

Saeed Saleh was a father, husband, and a refugee, according to Abuelgasim Eshag, the president of the Sudanese Community of Greater Dayton.

“We move here because (we) want to live that peace or live better life,” Eshag told News Center 7′s Molly Koweek.

The better life Saleh was working toward, was cut short when a gunman opened fire in the Oregon District on Aug. 4, 2019.

Eshag said Saleh was a hardworking man who was supporting his wife and daughter in Dayton and two children abroad.
