Dayton man charged with murder in Huber Heights homicide case

Suspect in custody after fatal Huber Heights shooting

HUBER HEIGHTS — A Dayton man has been charged with murder, felonious assault and a gun charge in connection to an Aug. 5 homicide in Huber Heights, records show.

Levi Lambert, 19, was arrested Sunday near the intersection of Powell Road and Jansin Place.

Evan Lewis, 19, was shot and killed about a block away from Lambert’s arrest location near the intersection of Bellefontaine Road and Hilgeford Drive, police said.

Lambert is due in court for his arraignment Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 p.m.

He continues to be held in the Montgomery County Jail on a $1 million bond.
