CRUISER CAM: K-9 helps make arrest during pursuit near Bellefontaine

LOGAN COUNTY — A 39-year-old man was arrested after he was accused of leading troopers on a pursuit through Logan County last week.

Jeremy Ebner, 39, of Bellefontaine is facing charges of felonious assault and failure to comply, court records show. He’s in jail on a $50,000 bond.

Troopers from the Marysville post were involved in the pursuit, which ended around 4:30 p.m. last Monday near the County Road 5 overpass on U.S. 33.

Cruiser camera footage obtained by News Center 7 shows a car swerving throughout the more than 15 minute pursuit on U.S. 33 to try and get away from deputies and state troopers.

At one point, a sheriff’s deputy is seen throwing spikes to try and deflate the car’s tires.

After speeding through a construction zone, the car eventually stops and troopers and other law enforcement ask the people inside to put their hands outside the vehicle and to exit the vehicle to get on the ground.

Several minutes pass and deputies approach the vehicle with a K-9, which helps officers detain Ebner and his passenger.

The passenger was later released with no charges filed against him.
