Police, medics respond to reported shooting on Santa Clara Avenue in Dayton

DAYTON — Police and medics have responded to reports of a person shot on Santa Clara Avenue in Dayton Monday afternoon, according to initial reports.

The shooting was reported in the 200 block of Santa Clara Avenue around 1:10 p.m.

Initial reports indicate the victim was robbed of a cell phone and shot in his side, according to police scanner traffic.

The condition of the victim was not immediately known.
