Police looking for truck responsible for damaged utility poles

DAYTON — Dayton police are investigating a crash that resulted in damage to two utility poles.

The crash happened on Santa Cruz Avenue, near Linden Avenue, just after 12:30 p.m. on Monday. Police said a truck hit two poles and then drove away from the scene.

Video from the scene showed one pole broke in half and another significantly leaning forward.

The crashed caused utility lines to fall onto the road.

Police blocked one block of Santa Cruz Avenue while repairs were being made.
