UPDATE: Dayton man in stable condition, teen charged after shooting Monday night

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 4:30 p.m. (July 13):

A 19-year-old is in jail after a shooting Monday night.

The shooting was reported in the 200 block of Yale Avenue, shortly before 9:30 p.m., according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch records.

Police said the 28-year-old man drove his SUV to the 200 block of Yale Avenue and Treyshaun Parker, 19, got into the vehicle. They got into an argument and both pulled out guns, according to an affidavit and statement of facts.

Parker shot at the man, who fired shots back and hit Parker. Police said Parker then got out of the SUV and ran to Salem Avenue, where he got a ride to the hospital, according to records.

A 28-year-old Dayton man was reported to have been shot in the back and face, according to a 911 call obtained through a public records. That man was taken to Miami Valley Hospital. A spokesperson for the hospital said he was in stable condition Wednesday.

An incident report on the shooting showed that Dayton police arrested Parker early Tuesday morning. Parker was charged with one count of felonious assault on Wednesday, according to online court records.
