Coroner identifies 30-year-old woman killed on Vernon Drive Saturday morning

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 2:45 p.m.:

Tenisha Burdine was killed in a shooting on Vernon Drive Saturday around 9:45 a.m.

The Coroner’s Office said the 30-year-old woman was from Dayton.

We are still working to learn who the suspect is in the incident and we will update you as we learn more about the investigation.

INITIAL REPORT:

Investigators are at the scene of a fatal shooting in the 1100 block of Vernon Drive in Dayton.

Dispatchers confirmed that they arrived to the scene after receiving reports of a shooting and found that a female was deceased.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene in a black truck.
