Off-duty Troy police officer injured in vehicle crash on Ohio 55 in Troy

UPDATE @ 4:45 p.m.: An off-duty Troy police officer suffered non-life threatening injuries in the collision with an SUV on Ohio 55 at Ohio 718 (Arthur Road).

Troy police Sgt. Shawn McKinney said the driver of the SUV turned left on Ohio 55 and into the path of a pickup truck driven by the officer.

The police officer has been taken to Upper Valley Medical Center. The SUV driver did not require a trip to a hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.

INITIAL REPORT

A crash involving two pickup trucks has been reported in the area of Ohio 55 and Arthur Road in Troy.

Medics have been called to the scene for possible injuries.

The crash was reported shortly before 4 p.m.
