Pickup truck crashes through Kettering smoothie business

KETTERING — Kettering police and fire crews responded to a two-vehicle accident that caused a pickup truck to crash into a smoothie business in Kettering Tuesday afternoon.

Lt. Lee Sanders told News Center 7 that two vehicles collided while travelling down Wilmington Pike around 3:30 p.m.

As a result of the collision, the pickup then veered off of the road and smashed through the storefront of Ice Ice Smoothie in the 2800 block of Wilmington Pike.

No injuries were reported in the initial crash or the crash into the business, according to Sanders.

There was no indication that speed or alcohol played a role in the accident.

Kettering dispatch said AES Ohio also responding to the scene.
