Route 844 open following Wright-Patt incident

FAIRBORN — UPDATE @ 3:15 p.m.:

Route 844 has been reopened according to the Ohio State Patrol.

It was initially closed at North Fairfield Road after reports of an active shooter at WPAFB.

INITIAL REPORT:

The Ohio State Patrol is closing Route 844 at North Fairfield Road as an active shooter situation is investigated at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, according to reports.

The announcement followed reports of an active shooting incident at WPAFB.

An all-clear has since been given at the base.
