CENTERVILLE — Part of a busy Centerville street will be closed this morning.

The westbound lanes of Franklin Street will be closed between Maple Avenue and East Drive due to water main repairs, according to a Montgomery County Environmental Services (MCES) spokesperson.
The road closure is scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m., and work is expected to be finished by around noon.

Lanes will be moved eastbound to allow morning traffic to flow through the area.
“Motorists traveling through the area should anticipate delays and are encouraged to allow extra time to reach their destinations,” the MCES spokesperson said.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution in the work zone and follow posted traffic signs.
