The lawyers for Ethan Kollie, the friend of the Oregon District shooter charged in connection to the investigation into the mass shooting, said Kollie is “expected to enter a plea pursuant to a plea agreement,” according to new court filings.

Kollie is charged with making a false statement regarding firearms and possession of a firearm by an unlawful user or addict of a controlled substance.

The records filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio shows Kollie is scheduled for an arraignment and plea agreement hearing on Nov. 20 at 1:30 p.m.

The charges against Kollie, formerly of Kettering, do not involve the weapon Conner Betts used to kill nine people on East Fifth Street early on Aug. 4.

However, a federal complaint alleges that Kollie bought the body armor, the double-barrel drum-style magazine and the upper receiver to the AR-style pistol that Betts used in the shootings. Prosecutors say Kollie was not aware of Betts’ plans.

Kollie has been denied release from jail while the case has gone through federal court.
