DAYTON — Typically surveillance video catches people breaking the law, but this time it captures a simple gesture — from a man in pain — looking to spread love.
News Center 7 first talked about #LoganHugs last month, after 30-year-old Logan Turner died in the Oregon District mass shooting. On his way to a remembrance event, Turner’s dad Mike offered an embrace to every stranger on his bus.
The message of love was spread as Mike Turner stood up on the RTA bus he was riding to the Gem City Shine event last month. It appeared most didn’t know who was on board until this moment.
“I lost my son that night,” Mike Turner said in the video. “I’d like to hug everybody outside the bus.”
Turner also shared the message on a napkin, which went viral on social media.
The RTA bus driver was the first to receive a hug on the bus and then one-by-one the riders lined up and embraced Logan Turner’s dad with a hug.
