Man in Springfield shooting died from self-inflicted wound; 2 others injured

SPRINGFIELD — A 35-year-old man has been identified as the person dead after a shooting at a Springfield apartment building, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Aaron Minerd of Springfield died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, a coroner’s office investigator told News Center 7. Two others, who were not identified, were wounded in the shooting. Their conditions were unknown.

Police initially said they were not looking for any suspects.

Police and medics were called to the 300 block of South Burnett Road about 5 a.m.
