Piqua man dead after rollover crash in Miami County

CASSTOWN — A Piqua man has died after a single-vehicle rollover crash on State Route 589 in Casstown around 12:40 a.m. Saturday morning.

Christopher Cullers, 35, was traveling northbound on S.R. 589 in the area of Mar Road when it went off of the right side of the roadway and into a ditch line, according to Sgt. Randy Slusher with the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.

Slusher told News Center 7 that the vehicle appeared to have rolled multiple times, and Cullers was ejected from the vehicle due to not wearing a seatbelt.

Cullers was was pronounced dead at the scene.

Slusher says alcohol is suspected, but the accident is still under investigation at this time.
