Raja originally came from the Saint Louis Zoo on a breeding recommendation from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Asian Elephant Species Survival Plan (SSP).
He helped produce many calves in St. Louis but is related to all breeding-age females and can’t help the survival of his species there.
According to Cincinnati Zoo, they hope that Raja will hit it off with the ladies to help their herd grow.
