Ohio State Highway Patrol cites more than 200 people during multi-state trooper project

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is releasing the results of their participation in a 6-State Trooper Project.

According to OSHP, the multi-state project focused on impaired driving enforcement.

OSHP recorded the highest number of citations, citing 219 people during the enforcement, which ran from Dec. 3 to Dec. 5.

In total, the 6-State Trooper Project cited 567 people.

OSHP was joined in the enforcement project by the Indiana State Police, Kentucky State Police, Michigan State Police, Pennsylvania State Police and West Virginia State Police.

In a release, troopers encouraged drivers to commit to safer roads by planning ahead, designating a sober driver and ensuring that everyone in the vehicle is buckled up.
