NUTmobile, Wienermobile to visit Dayton this weekend

DAYTON — Two iconic vehicles will be crossing paths in Dayton this weekend when the Planters’ NUTmobile and Oscar Meyer’s Wienermobile make a stop at Dayton Off Road & Outdoor Expo. Both vehicles are set to be featured at the Expo.

While they seem like an unlikely pairing, the NUTmobile and Wienermobile have over 80 years of history. Both are known to travel around the county, handing out Planters nut samples and classic Wiener Whistles to customers, coast to coast.

Historically, both are driven by Peanutters and Hotdoggers, respectively. These are recent college graduates who get to drive the 26-foot-long peanut and 27-foot-long hot dog from city to city.

The Expo takes place on Saturday, Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday, Feb. 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Roberts Centre, 123 Gano Road, Wilmington.
