Middletown manufacturer expanding with new facility

MIDDLETOWN — A new manufacturing facility is being constructed as part of the MADE Industrial Park in Middletown.

The industrial park recently added 42 acres to their property and 12 of those have been secured by Phoenix Metals.

Currently, Phoenix Metals is located on Hook Drive in Middletown. Their new facility will be be approximately 156,000 square feet.

According to a release, Phoenix Metals plans to invest $12 million to construct the new facility and another $3 million for equipment and soft costs. The investment will allow them to add 20 more employees over the next three years.

“We are very excited for Phoenix Metals to be reinvesting in Middletown, and to have 30 additional acres available for lease or sale at MADE,” Chris Xeil Lyons, City of Middletown Economic Development Director, said.

Middletown City Manager, Jim Palenick, said the addition of Phoenix to the MADE park will allow more “high-quality’ manufacturers to locate to the industrial park.

A groundbreaking ceremony will be held Nov. 17 at 10 a.m.
