“The caller in advised that her friend had been shot in a possible drive-by shooting,” Dayton police said in court records.

Davis appeared to suffer from a single gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased on scene, police said.

Detectives said Davis and Clemons knew each other prior to the shooting happening, however their direct relationship wasn’t immediately released.

Clemons faces charges of murder, felonious assault and three weapons related charges, Dayton Municipal Court records show.

Police said Clemons has previous convictions related to crimes of violence and drugs.
