UPDATE: Power restored in Springfield and Kettering areas

CLARK COUNTY — UPDATE: @ 7:40 a.m. 

Power has been restored to all Ohio Edison customers in the Springfield area effected by outages earlier this morning.

Power has all restored almost all DP&L customers in the Kettering area. There are currently 5 customers still without power.

According to the DP&L outage map, these remaining customers will have power restored between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

UPDATE: @ 4:55 a.m. 

A majority of Ohio Edison customers in the Springfield area have had power restored. There are currently 443 customers that are still without power.

According to the Ohio Edison outage map, restoration for the remaining effected customers will be between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.

INITIAL REPORT: 

More than 2,000 Ohio Edison customers are without power in the southeastern area of Springfield.

According to the Ohio Edison outage map, it shows an estimated power restoration time of 6 a.m.

In total, 2,560 customers are without power within Clark County.

In Montgomery County, there are 230 DP&L customers without power. The majority of power outages in Montgomery County are in Kettering.

According to the DP&L outage map, the outages were reported around 2:45 a.m. with an estimated restoration time between 5:30 a.m. and  7:30 a.m.
