SUV drives through red light, causes multi-vehicle crash, police say

UPDATE @ 7:50 p.m.:

A gold SUV traveling southbound on Patterson Boulevard drove through a red light and collided with three vehicles, said a Dayton police sergeant on scene.

One person was trapped in their vehicle for a short time, the sergeant said.

Those injured were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

West Stewart Street at Edwin C. Moses Blvd. has reopened .

FIRST REPORT:

Multiple police and medics are on scene of an injury vehicle crash in Dayton.

The crash was reported at West Stewart Street at Patterson Boulevard around 6:30 p.m.

At least four vehicles were involved and two women in a gold SUV needed medical attention, said a sergeant with Montgomery County regional dispatch.

West Stewart Street at Edwin C. Moses Boulevard is shut down, said the sergeant.
