MONTGOMERY CO. — Thousands of voters are pouring into the Montgomery County administration building for last minute, in-person early voting.

County election officials told News Center 7′s Mike Campbell that they expect to set a one-day record for early voting Friday.

As many as 50% of voters will have casted their votes before polling locations open on Tuesday.

Early voting will take continue to take place through this weekend until Monday at 2 p.m.

Poll employees are now testing the equipment and machines that will be set up at 143 locations around the county ahead of the election on Tuesday.

They are currently testing to make sure the check-in is accurate, the touchscreen machines are recording ballots correctly, and the scanning machines are working properly.

" We’re in great shape going into the Presidential Election, we should have about 55-56% of our vote turnout tabulated and counted by 8PM election night," explained Steve Harsman, Deputy Director of the Board of Elections.
