The company provided a statement to News Center 7 about the fire and said they wanted to issue a “heartfelt thank you” to all first responders who were called to the fire and that they are “devastated by the loss of our corporate office due to an industrial fire”:

“ Thank you to all the local community members and organizations that have reached out to extend sympathies and support to JR Manufacturing during this time.

At JRM, ‘we are people first’ and we ask that you keep our team members in your thoughts while we sort through the details.

Until further notice, NO ONE is permitted to enter the 900 West Industrial Drive as investigations continue.”

Mercer County fire crews were called to the fire around 5:15 p.m. Saturday and remained on the scene until approximately 5 a.m. Sunday, according to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.

Thirteen departments were called to assist with the fire, according to Fort Recovery Mayor Dave Kaup.

Village residents were directed to avoid the area, a spokesperson for the Village of Fort Recovery wrote in a Facebook post.

News Center 7 has reached out to Mercer County fire crews as well as JR Manufacturing for information about what caused the fire and if the building is a total loss.

We will update this story as new information becomes available.
